Giorgio Castriota Scanderbeg (Albanian: Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu; Dibra, May 6, 1405 - Alexis, 17 January 1468) joined the rulers of Epirus and Albania for 25 years and resisted attempts to conquer turkish Ottoman Empire, and that is reason is estimated as Athlete of Christianity and considered the national hero of Albania and the Albanians all over the world.
